Theo and his older siblings were enjoying a sunny day on their sleds when a mishap nearly took his life. Thanks to his parents' knowledge of CPR, local responders coming to his aid, and the skill and speed of the STARS crew, he made it to the life-saving treatment he so urgently required.
Jacquie Drew
Jacquie, a singer-songwriter, was involved in a remote motorcycle crash, and STARS responded. When STARS founder Dr. Greg Powell passed away three years later, she was moved to write a song about his impact.
Wade Cassidy
He suffered a major heart attack while hours away from the hospital care he needed. A ground EMS crew jumped into action and met STARS en route. That cooperation resulted in Wade's life being saved in the nick of time.
Sean Rickards
Sean Rickards remembers being wedged between a backhoe and a semi-truck. “I was broken within a millimetre of my life,” he said. STARS and others fought to keep him alive. He later told his STARS crew: “You guys have given my family back.” Watch the story here.
